Toddler bed!

I can't believe we've come to this point already. We weren't planning on using his toddler bed yet because he's been so good in his crib, but we got his mattress out today for him to jump on (cuz we're awesome parents) and I got the wild idea for him to try it out. So we did our usual bedtime routine and he is sleeping in his bed as I type. Who knows how the morning will go, but so far so good.

Ethan and I worked really hard all Saturday in the back yard. We trimmed the trees down to just 1 stick, since they are almost dead. (I say almost because we found one of the trees had a little bit of green coming out of the ground!) Then we picked up all the trimmings and I weeded (which took most of the time). Logan played in his pool in the shade while we did all this and we also put up a new patio shade since our last ones were falling apart. Then I sprayed for weeds, but I'll have to get more. Our yard is big. Ethan almost has our grass completely installed. (Yes it's takin' awhile). Ethan has quite the farmers tan from working out in the sun a lot so he thought he would get some sun on his back while we worked. Needless to say, we have both been rubbing each other with aloe. We had some new neighbors move in today and that has pretty much been our weekend.

Yay Logan! Big boy bed! So cool. Very big step! How did he do? It's really cute.

That is a pretty cool bed. Are you going to take the crib down or wait awhile and see how he does? Sounds like a busy weekend. I hope your trees come back!

Logan slept through the night in his bed. Ethan said he peeked in on him this morning and he woke up so Ethan closed the door right away. Next thing he heard the door open up behind him and Logan was there with his blanket. Ethan took him back to his bed (cuz it was 6:00) and he went back to sleep. I had to wake him up at 8:00 and he was still very tired. We'll see how naps go. We are waiting to take the crib out when he has become accustomed to the bed.

Way to go! I want to do that with our little boy Camden but I am not sure if he's quite ready yet. I am afraid that he will get out of bed and play. Maybe we'll do it this weekend. Where did you get his bed?

Well, Cam's about 16 months old right now. I know that might be jumpin the gun with a bed but I think he is ready for a change. Thanks for the Ikea suggestion ours opens in Draper on Wednesday!!! I'll have to see what they have. Oh and my sister-in-law Beth lives around Glendale (and a bonus...she has a pool!)

Holy crapola, he's ginormous now! The last time I saw him he was a baby-baby.

Watch out for being in the sun too long! I saw this Glamour magazine article that had pictures of moles/spots and it was like, "Which of these are cancer and which ones aren't?" I looked at them and I was like, "Well, not number 8 because I have about 4 moles that look just like that." Turns out number 8 was super-malignant melonoma! Oops! So wear your sunscreen!
