Our interesting week...

This week has been pretty busy. I watched a friends little boy all day Tuesday while she was at Girl's Camp and Wednesday I watched another friend's little girl (Cyrena) while she went to camp. Also my neighbors went out of town from Wednesday till this Sunday and they wanted me to watch their dogs. They have their sons minature pincher that is 2 and their dog that is a lab terrier mix which is old, about 13 I think. So Wednesday was my first day watching the dogs and they stay outside all day so I go over there to put ice in their water and make sure they have food. Well I went over at 8, 3 and 6. That last time I found that the older dog had died! I couldn't believe it! I don't know if it was the heat or old age, but it was definately dead. I called the owners and they said they had kinda been expecting it these past few years and they don't blame me. So I had to figure out what to do with the rotting dog laying in the sun. My other neighbor came over and helped me scoop it into a bag and put it in the road for the city to pick up (I okayed this with the owners). I never want to do that again! Yuck! This dog looked like one of the dogs from pet cemetary. Not a pleasing image. I had nightmares about it.
These pictures don't go with the story, but I wasn't about to take a picture of a dead dog. Our friend is house-sitting for the month and the house has a pool so we go over there to swim. Logan is getting pretty comfortable with the water. He had his 2 year check-up today with a shot and didn't cry or even flinch! What a tough kid! The top picture is of Logan in his fort I made him before he fell backwards into it. Oy!

Ashley, I'm sure Ethan told you of the time Kyle was watching a friends rabbits and one of them died. Ethan helped him bury it. Not a pleasant experience. They should have put the dogs in a boarding kennel if the one had been sick. The pool is really beautiful. Logan's a funny kid!

I was dog sitting a dog that fainted once, I was so scared it died that is always my biggest nightmare. Since he didn't die and only fainted it was kind of funny.

A deep debt of gratitude at the lack of dead dog pics.
