Food storage

Well here are the before and after pictures of our newly organized food storage pantry. Ethan made these nifty rotation food racks. We bought a new shelf for the whole thing ($20) and the wood and supplies for the racks was $35. The racks I saw online for these were $35 and only held 20 cans. Ours can hold over 100! Ethan says the front piece of wood is temporary until we get a dowel instead. We are now attempting to fill it up. It's a little bare at the moment. We want to have a usable food storage; not just the usual canned rice and wheat. There is an article in the August Ensign about being prepared. The subtitle says, "At one time or another, nearly every family will face accidents, illness, unemployment, or other emergencies that will require them to depend on the resources they have stored." We will go over that for Family Home Evening tomorrow.

Wow, that's really cool! Nice that you are able to get some food storage going :) Someday, when we have room I hope to have one too!

That really looks great. How clever of Ethan to build one for such a reasonable price. It will surely be easier to keep things organized and be able to see what you have. You are being obedient!

Yay! I am so glad you posted this because I am going to make Devin refer to your pictures so we can do our pantry just like this. Great job Ethan! :o)

I'm thinking the same things as both Stephanie and Tiffany - Matt will be studying these pictures so he can eventually build them for ourselves... once we have the space! Great work, Ethan!
