It's finished!

Back in July Ethan had an idea to build a guitar. Me being the bad wife did not think he would actually do it, or if he did, wouldn't finish it.
Well he proved me wrong!

Today he finished it.

Here is the work in progress:

Step 1: Glue 5 pieces of wood together.

Step 2: Trace and cut out shape (thanks to the Mecham's for letting him use all their tools for that!)
Step 3: Round edges and attach the neck.

Here he was prepping it to be painted.
And here is the FINISHED product!

He designed the pick guard all by himself and cut it out from a piece of plastic.

The only things he didn't make were the wiring, knobs, and the neck.

He borrowed an amp today and tested it out. I think it sounds great and I'm VERY impressed that he made this all by himself!

Oh My Gosh!!! That's so awesome! you did a wonderful job. How did you know how to do it and what made you decide to build it? You'll have to play it for us next weekend when we come for Jane's blessing.
