Easter w/ cousins

Click here for all of the pictures, or just browse some of my favorites on the blog:

My brother and his family drove down from Utah to visit over the weekend. Since my sister is here too now, we had lots of fun with all the cousins.

are you just feeling so lucky to have your sister here? It's been way too long since I've seen you guys...this weekend you're coming right?

Looks like a good one! Where is that place with the orange wall?

What a great time -- to have all those darling little cousins together -- and to get to know each other a little better. I love the "face painting". Logan looks pretty "awesome."

Hi Ashley,
I came across your blog through Lindsay Brin. I have a question - I know it is coming out of nowhere but I see you have 3 kids, and it looks like you are at home with them. I have a 20 month old little boy and another baby due in June and right now, my little boy is in daycare but I am trying to decide whether to keep him in daycare or take him out when I finish up work (May 13). So I finish up work May 13 and baby is due June 20 but if I take him out, he loses his spot. Just wondering on your experience of caring for a newborn and another little one at the same time? Is it crazy? Doable? I know it's completely out of nowhere but I'm just wondering on your experience and if you have any tips as you seem to have it all together :) Thanks! I'm not actually signed up to the blog contact (not really sure how it works) but I can check back to see if you answer.

Melissa- Good question! You know, every time a new baby comes into the mix it's a little stressful. I remember each time thinking "ok, how am I going to make this work when I have to be here and do this and this and this". But it is doable, lots of people are doing it! If you have someone home with you (like a mom or husband) the first week or so, it really helps. You'll figure out what works for you. Newborns are flexible and sleep a lot so if you have to care for the other child then no biggie.
You can do it!

Thanks Ashley :) Yes, my husband is taking the first 2 weeks off from work and my parents say they will help too. I'm just anticipating the worst as I remember what a transition it was from no babies to a newborn, trying to breastfeed, etc. I remember having trouble even fitting my own lunch in, let alone having to feed a toddler as well. But daycare is $300/week which is expensive for us and also, I don't want to regret sending him there when I could be spending time with him as well. Thanks so much for responding, it's nice to hear how other's who have been through it find it!! Also, what a nice idea to blog your activities for those who are away!! My husband's family is in Manitoba and we are in Newfoundland (Canada) so it's quite the distance, we may do something like this as well for those away.
