Ruler growth chart

I've been wanting to do this for awhile.
I made 2 because one is for a friend.
I got the idea from Pinterest here.

So I still need to spray the finishing coat on them, but for the most part they are done.
I'll hang it on the wall (6" off the ground), and find a non-bleeding pen to mark the kid's heights.

If you are wondering, I used 2 different paint pens for the markings. A regular paint pen for the lines and a special wood pen/marker for the numbers because it had a pointy tip.

I'm in awe--I would never be able to to make something like that-I'm not patient enough. You freehanded the numbers??? You're amazing!

This doesn't have to do with this post but have a quick question: what did you use to clean your grout with that time? Our's is getting gross and I've tried a few things but nothing worked. Was it tedious?

Not sure who asked about the grout, but here's my answer: I used soft scrub and a brush and got down on my hands and knees and scrubbed like crazy. It worked though.

Thanks Ashley. I'm the one who wrote before about taking care of the newborn and 2 year old (if you can remember). I stumbled across your blog from Lindsay Brin's blog last year sometime and I find your blog interesting too as I can relate to it with kids of my own but I don't have a blog. Is that the only way I can make comments is anonymously? I would have a blog but wouldn't have time to write everything down lol. And I just have 2 kids... My 3 month old is pretty cranky at times though compared to how my 2 year old was. So that was me. I remembered you had mentioned cleaning your grout (I think that was when I saw your blog from Lindsay's originally) and I want to give mine a good clean too. I'll try the soft scrub. Thanks! :)
